not too much to report since berlin... saturday night in berlin was crazy. we went to bernhaim... this club... well, let's just say that i saw things that i probably could have definitely done without seeing. but it was fun and we danced and then on sunday we enjoyed the sunshine from a convertible trabi car... hilarious! but such a good way to see the city! spent the week in holland going to bed early & catching up with my local friends here.

i was in london this past weekend, loving the city some more. G & i saw "the girl who played with fire" and it was excellent. i'm not sure how i feel about hollywood taking up those movies... i mean, they've been done so perfectly in swedish. why ruin a good thing? we spend sunday enoying the sunshine in the centre of town. people watching is so fun there!

i'm now back in the netherlands... first weekend here since before the holiday in Canada! what ever will i do!??

in berlin

I arrived in Berlin today. The city is dopealicious, especially when not coated in a layer of freeze and snow as it was in December when we were here for New Years Eve. Had to work for the afternoon (yes, I'm here for work) but now I'm back at the hotel... it's so nice! I don't want to leave! My friend K lives in Berlin (she's been away in Vietnam for the past 2 years) and I'll be seeing her tomorrow, and over the weekend, and we have some MAJOR exploration plans - so tonight I'm just going to enjoy hotel casa camper... the room is amazing. I love the design. Here are some shots from my current location...

Okay, so instead of a closet, there is a row of hooks along the wall - I think my clothes look nice hanging there! Great idea!

my bed! I can't wait to go to sleep in it. well, I think that's partly because of the jet lag I still find myself suffereing from... leftover from the Vancouver adventure.

So now that I've plugged the hotel, I'm going to finish that tea before it gets cold.

just quickly....

I've been away with G, enjoying the sights and delights of Canada. A weekend stop in Montreal to see some very dear friends, to bixi around town, to eat some poutine and run up a mountain (not in that order). And after that it was over to the West Coast for some Vancouver time. Oh, Van-City was in top form!! The sun shone EVERY DAY! We climbed a mountian (yes, I am such a climber), ate copious amounts of sushi, drank too much of everything, hung out with the kindered souls, spent some time on the Coast of Sunshine, bbq'd a Salmon, danced the night away, saw S & T get married in an enchanted forest ceremony... so much to report... and I will! I promise! With pictures! But not now. This is just to check in....

I'm off to Berlin tomorrow and I'm looking forward to seeing that city without snow (we were there in December for New Year's Eve!! It was fun, but SOOOOO cold!).
